Pastor Wm. Sidney Briley

There are few men whose experiences of Christian ministry have provided such broad and long ranging experiences as has been the case for Pastor William Sidney Briley. Here is a man, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who grew and developed into a powerful preacher, a Christian seer, a leader of men, and a servant of God.

Passtor Briley was baptized in Jesus Name and received the Holy Ghost at an early age under the tenure of the late Bishop Richard Harris. In 1988 he transferred his membership from Nazarene Temple Apostolic Faith Church to Greater Bethlehem Temple under Bishop James D. Nelson Sr., now Presiding Prelate, World Assemblies of Restoration (WAR).

Upon graduating from Northern High School, Pastor Briley continued his formal education at Baltimore City Community College, Coppin State University, and now Liberty University.

Pastor Briley has served in the ministry as God’s servant for over 10 years. He is a tremendously unique and humble servant of God. He has a multitude of characteristics and qualities that seem to be rare in the modern day church. Pastor Briley loves God and the people of God without question and he strives to serve with a loving spirit. This is a factor that undoubtedly influenced the move of God to take two separate ministries and combine them into one.

In 2002, Pastor Briley received a higher calling to Pastor. He was ordained in 2003 as Pastor of the former Macedonia Apostolic Faith Church by Bishop James D. Nelson, Sr. Bishop Nelson was able to see, what may have seemed unusual to others, a rare opportunity to take two ministries and merge them together. This would take an individual with vision, humility, integrity, hope, desire, and one having their ear to the mouth of God for direction and guidance. This surely described Pastor Briley.

In 2006, Macedonia Apostolic Faith church was merged with Bible Revival Deliverance Church family to form the current New Harvest Deliverance Ministries. Under his leadership, New Harvest continues to grow to becomes the congregation that God desires.

In November of 1990 he was blessed to marry Janice (Nelson); to this union three lovely children were born, Ja’Nelle, Sidney Jr. and Joi. Together they are walking in the favor of God healing the wounded, bringing hope to those in despair and looking to do a great work in the kingdom.

He has preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ in cities both dense and sparse; to pews that were sometimes full and sometimes not so full, yet his preaching enthusiasm is always the same.
